In August 2003, Dianne released her third album, Lovesong. As the name implies, this nearly hour-long album features traditional songs and melodies about love, including a few well-known tunes such as "Shenandoah," "The Pachelbel Canon," and "Drink to Me Only with Thine Eyes" as well as a few lesser-known tunes such as "The Lark in the Clear Air," "The Swan," "Plaisir d'Amour, "and "O Mio Babbino Caro." Lovesong utilizes Dianne's own unique style so apparent on her first two albums, Simplicity and Tinsel…a fusion of traditional with contemporary, and a flute tone full of richness and character.

Each of the thirteen love-related melodies is played on flute, piccolo, or alto flute with accompaniment of grand piano, cello, violin, guitar, and percussion. The entirely original arrangements are based on sentimental and romantic melodies from folk songs, operas, ballets, and classical chamber music.
